WHat we believe

The Good News of Jesus Christ

  1. God Created Man perfect in His Image for His Great Pleasure.
  2. Man rebelled against God and caused an Eternal Separation between God and Mankind.
  3. In a fallen human state, humanity could not redeem itself.
  4. In His incredible love, God desired humanity to be reconciled to Him.
  5. The human race desperately needed a remedy, but none could be found on Earth nor in its own human efforts.
  6. Only God could deliver humanity from this deep darkness and eternal destruction.
  7. In love, God came to Earth in the person named Jesus Christ and took on human form without losing His Deity: fully God and fully Man.
  8. Jesus lived the sinless life that we never could and humbly gave Himself to be persecuted, beaten, and even put to death by crucifixion, proving His love for humanity by willingly offering Himself for us because He loves us and without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sin. Jesus took our place.
  9. Jesus descended into the underworld, defeated the devil, and rose from the grave three days later, conquering death.
  10. Jesus was seen by many after His resurrection, proving His Deity, even by 500 people at the same time.
  11. Jesus then ascended to Heaven, and He is now seated at the right hand of God.
  12. Jesus will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will not end.
  13. God loves and desires every man to come to Himself. There must now be repentance, a turning away from dead works and darkness unto the life and light of Jesus Christ that He freely offers every man, woman, and child.
  14. Jesus gives those who believe in Him the Holy Spirit to know Him intimately. He is the Comforter, Counselor, Advocate, and our Ever-Present Lord who makes us His home when we receive Him. He is the Presence and Power of God on Earth today and can be known through prayer and fellowship and the reading of the Holy Scriptures, namely, the Holy Bible.  We are now born again as children of God, forever accepted in the Beloved Jesus Christ.
  15. The believer is to grow daily in relationship with the Lord God as we walk in the newness of life and await His coming to receive us into His eternal glory, hope, and rest He has promised to those who are His and believe in Him.

the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed (A.D. 325 & 381)

I believe in One God,
the Father Almighty,
Maker of Heaven and Earth,
and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Son of God,
the Only-Begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages;
Light of Light;
True God of True God;
begotten, not made;
of one essence with the Father,
by Whom all things were made;
Who for us men and for our salvation
came down from Heaven,
and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
And He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate,
and suffered, and was buried.
And the third day He arose again,
according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into Heaven,
and sits at the right hand of the Father;
and He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead;
Whose Kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life,
Who proceeds from the Father;
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified;
Who spoke by the prophets.

And in One, Holy, Catholic (Universal), and Apostolic Church.

I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins.
I look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.

Amen.
